MODERN ECO Warranty Options

• UV degradation – UV stability failure is deemed to have occurred if the original tensile strength of the product measured by ASTM test methods decrease more than fifty percent (50%) from original product installed.
• Manufacturer Defect – Loss of fiber weight greater than 20% in any year or greater than 50% over warranty period.

As with any manufactured product, there are occasional slight differences in color between dye lots. Customer understands that finished product may have the appearance of mow lines, and that this is part of the manufacturing process. Modern Grounds is not held liable for any color shading differences.

Modern Grounds shall not have any other obligation or liability in connection with any matter or thing — including, without limitation, damages for personal injury or damages related to lost revenue, increased costs, downtime costs and all other indirect or consequential damages.

Warranty claims must be made in writing to Modern Grounds within thirty (30) days of learning of the cause giving rise to a claim. Proof of purchase from Modern Grounds must be included. *

The following information must be provided by the purchaser:

• Date of original purchase
• Square footage of the installation
• Type and quantity of infill used
• Name of purchaser
• Location of installation
• Photos of the alleged product defects

* Final interpretation of the warranty claim is the sole responsibility of Modern Grounds.

Warranty does not provide coverage against the following:

• Normal wear and tear
• Negligence
• Failing to register the warranty within 30 days of installation
• If Modern Grounds, LLC did not perform the installation of the product, then Modern Grounds, LLC does not provide any warranty related to such installation. Any warranty claims would need to be made through the third party contractor that performed the installation.
• Vandalism, fire, floods or acts of God; normal matting; the effect of the sun’s energy when magnified by glass or reflective surfaces; damage from accidents, force majeure, abuse, animals, machinery; mineral deposit buildup from exposure to hard water, chemical reactions and neglect
• Damage resulting from failure to maintain proper infill levels using appropriate infill products in accordance with the maintenance instructions provided to the buyer
• Damage caused by other parties or contractors after the installation of the synthetic grass is complete or putting green is complete
• Damage resulting from repair, or attempted repair, by anyone other than Modern Grounds or authorized installer
• Fiber matting due to consistent traffic patterns, improper or excessive use, or leaving any flat-surfaced product on the artificial grass for any period of time
• Fiber matting, creasing or wrinkling due to improper storage of the product after transporting it from the warehouse
• Fiber degradation due to improper use of adhesive
• Weed growth around perimeter or through synthetic grass due to improper installation method to protect against weed growth below surface, including proper weed barrier and sub-based used
